For the External Assessor QA process, the individual who acts as the Quality Assurance Reviewer for an assessor organization can also be the Engagement Executive.
HITRUST requires strict independence within theExternal Assessor QA process. TheQuality Assurance Reviewermust be independent of the engagement team to provide unbiased oversight. This role cannot be performed by theEngagement Executive, who is directly responsible for the client relationship and delivery of the assessment. Allowing the same individual to serve both roles would create a conflict of interest and undermine the credibility of the QA review.
